Master Woo Myung Writing – There Is No Righteous Person in the World
Jesus Christ told us that there is no righteous person in the world, including himself, and that only God is righteous. Just as he said, there is not and there has never been a righteous person among the people of the world.
No one has been able to become righteous because the method to become righteous did not exist. If such a method had existed, many people in the world would have already become righteous and this world would already be a world of Truth. If a righteous person had existed, a method to become righteous would exist, and there would be institutions and schools that teach people how to become righteous. A righteous person is a person of Truth, someone who has achieved “dō” as is described in Buddhism.
Achieving dō is to become Truth. A person who has become Truth is a righteous person so these two expressions have the same meaning. There is no school that teaches people how to become such a person.
One of the many clergymen who attended the seminars that were held in Europe said that going to heaven and gaining eternal life were things that could only be done by the grace of God. He said that these things could not be done by man no matter how hard he tries. This is certainly very true. Only Truth can make a person become Truth, and only Truth can take man to heaven, the world of Truth. However, the person who spoke was waiting for the Truth of his conceptions, his images.
There are many people in the world who suffer from collective megalomania. In the strong framework of their minds, they believe that when Truth, the Savior of the world, comes to the world, they will be saved because they have the most faith in God.
What will Truth do when it comes to the world?
First, Truth will make man become Truth and give him birth in eternal heaven. The method to become Truth is the key to the kingdom of heaven. When it is said that one will go to heaven if he has faith in Truth, it means that those who have become Truth will go to heaven.
There is only one sin in the world. All those who do not become righteous are sinners. A sinner is sinful so he will end up dying and a righteous person is Truth so he will live eternally in heaven.
Teacher Jung-san told us that the Great Dō or Path that will make the world to become one will come from outside the current systems. This means that the Path will not come from existing religions. In the time of Christ, neither John the Baptist nor Christ came from within the Jewish religion. Just as the existing religions of the time did not accept Jesus Christ when he came, it would be the same if Truth came to the world today. People do not know the will of Truth and they are steeped inside the images of their fantasies.
When it is said that the Savior will come down from heaven hidden by a cloud, it means that when he comes nobody will know. It is also said that he will be accompanied by trumpeting angels. This means that angels – those who have become Truth – will teach Truth to the people of the world.
It is said that the Savior will come from the sky or heaven, but the earth is also a part of the sky when seen from another star.
The sky or heaven is the original place of Truth and the Creator. A person who has been reborn as heaven or Truth itself is a person who has come from heaven or it can be said that such a person has “levitated” to heaven. This also explains the phrase in the Bible that says, a person of Truth will come among us just as Christ sent from heaven was among us. A person whose mind has been reborn as the mind of the Creator – the great Soul and Spirit of heaven – is a person of Truth who has come from heaven.
A while back, there was a church who claimed that they would be levitated to heaven. With over 500 journalists gathered, the church members awaited levitation, but it never happened. Around this time, many churches experienced a revival, with people who believed that the judgment day of the new Messiah had come.
The new Messiah is the existence of Truth, and a person who is Truth is the new Messiah. People do not understand the true meaning of the “new Messiah” and they are waiting for Christ from two thousand years ago to come down from heaven on a cloud. The great Holy Bible has been grossly misinterpreted. Christ was crucified by the existing religions of the time when he came to the world and told people that he was the Son of God. Even though he was truly the Son of God, they could only see his outward appearance; in their eyes, he was simply a Jew. Just as the Bible says, when Truth comes to the world people will only see outward appearances whereas Jehovah will be able to see the inner heart.
No one will recognize the existence of Truth when it comes because people view others through their conceptions and habits. This is why it is said in the Bible that this existence will come as a thief ; that nobody but God the Father will know when he comes. It means people will not be able to recognize him because they are not Truth, and only the existence of Truth will know that he is Truth and that he is born in the world.
When it is said that thousands of people will see him coming down on a cloud, it means that thousands of people will see him and meet him, but no one will recognize him for who he truly is.
The person who saves the people of the world and makes them righteous is the Savior. As Christianity has told us, this is something that only the existence of Truth can do; if by the grace of this existence we are given the key to heaven – the method for all our sins to be absolved – then we must do so.
It is also said that the sheep will be separated from the goats. This means those who have less sins will be able to become clean and be reborn as Truth, “the sheep”, but those who have many sins will not be able to escape from their minds of greed and attachments and will become “the goats”.
If the existence of Truth, the judge, actually told people that they are goats or sheep, the goats would not leave him in peace.
When people are given the key to heaven, the judgment is whether they actually use the key to enter heaven. All people will be given fair judgment in this manner, but they will not know that they are being judged. Only a righteous person can make other people become righteous and only such a person can make the method to do so. A person becomes righteous if he discards his body and mind completely, becomes Truth, and is reborn as Truth.
Heaven is the land of Truth, and it is where only Truth – righteous people – lives. When it is said that there is no one who is righteous, it means no one has been born in heaven.
