Master Woo Myung Book – The Living Eternal World – The Savior That Meets All Your Expectations Will Never Come
While in America, I had an opportunity to speak to a large audience of people who were of the cloth. I said to them, “Let us pretend that the Messiah Jesus has returned from Heaven on a cloud with his angels. If that Messiah were to thank you for all of the hard work you have done for Heaven, you are likely to follow him. But if this Messiah were to say that not one of you is repenting and that your faith in God is a sham, not a single person would follow him.” After thinking about this quietly for a long time, one of them agreed that none would follow this Messiah. He spoke honestly.
Two thousand years have passed, but to this day, the Jewish people do not believe in Jesus. They believe he was a mere prophet and continue waiting for another savior. This is probably because they are bound to the old Jewish customs and thus are deaf to Jesus’ voice. So long as they hang on to their customs and their ideas and are bound to them, they will never be able to see Jesus or hear his voice.
The same can be said for Christianity, Buddhism, and all other religions, in that they will not know even if the savior has arrived. No matter how much they wait, they will never be able to meet the savior of their fixed ideas and fantasies. Different faiths claim different things as being Truth. But Truth is only Truth when it has been found from inside oneself. The same can be said of Heaven.
The Christian Bible is a book of prophesy and so are the Buddhist sutras. They tell us that the world in which people openly become complete and become one will be established on earth and that such a day will indeed arrive. In the Christian Bible, there is the New Testament, which signifies ‘the new promise.’ This new promise is the promise that the savior will come. The Buddhist sutras said the same thing – that the Maitreya would come. The savior will be one who makes it possible for man to be reborn as Truth. Man awaits a savior for whom he does not have to cleanse himself and speaks of eternal Heaven as if he could indeed live there.
So what is salvation? Salvation means that you will live. What does it mean to live? To live means to have become Truth. The Bible says that there is not a single person who will live unless he is born of water and the Holy Ghost. What this means is the water washes away one’s sins, and once this is done one will be reborn as the Holy Ghost. It is only when one has been cleansed of one’s sins that he will be reborn as the Holy Ghost.
Heaven is not a place that a sinner can go to but the place where only the Creator, Truth, lives. No matter who the savior is, none will live unless they repent their sins. Judgment is what awaits those who do not repent. They will die, for they are not Truth. Only those who seek absolution will be saved. Repentance is absolution. None can be reborn in the Land of God and Buddha unless they become God and Buddha. A savior that meets one’s expectations will never come. Anyone and everyone who cleanses his mind and thus enshrines the Creator, Truth, inside him is one who is saved and is born in Heaven.
A person who has neither become Truth nor entered into eternal Heaven while he is alive will be dead once he dies. This earth must become Heaven in order for there to be Heaven. He who is absent of his self is one who has become one with God. Therefore, he will live.
