The IPPY Awards are the world’s largest and competitive international and regional book awards and they are awarded to the most exemplary independent publishing companies and authors. Launched in 1996, the IPPY Awards 2013 was the 17th competition, which included 5,240 total entries. Woo Myung’s book was honored as a gold medal winner in the ‘Inspirational/Spiritual’ category. The results were released to all of the US national presses. The awards ceremony to honor the medalists was held on May 29th in New York, on the eve of Book Expo America.
